2001, August 12 Our 20TH Anniversary

Today, on the 20th anniversary of our marriage ceremony in the U.S. we completed the first comprehensive research for the Savitri Lexicon.  It is a memorable day and I offer it to Thee, O Mother and to Thee, Sri Aurobindo, in gratitude for allowing Mary Helen to remain here on earth and for the opportunity to immerse ourselves in a study of Savitri these past years.

There is much still  to be done.  Although we have entered more than 5000 words with possibly 10,000 or more definitions, we will begin again at the beginning for a second run-through to pick up the borderline words we have been writing down this past year.  With Thy grace we will continue, praying for light and an inner understanding that transcends our mental knowledge.  We offer all our efforts to Thee.

Our Word Search began on August 19, 2000, after two years of entering the complete text and compiling lists of words to be defined, going through Savitri again and again.

Since Mary Helen returned from her cancer surgery in October 1998 I have read the complete text through twice just before we go to bed.  After that, Mary Helen completed reading the text another two times and a few days ago began once again at Book I, Canto I.

In  love and devotion I offer all to Thee.
